
Grant trained as an actor at the Central School of Speech and Drama. He was resident composer at the Bridewell Theatre. His musical theatre work includes: Simply Cinderella (Curve Leicester); Tracy Beaker Gets Real (Nottingham Playhouse and tour); The Beggar’s Opera (Changeling Theatre tour); Spittin’ Distance (Stephen Joseph Theatre and NT Studio); Yeti: an Abominamusical (Edinburgh Fringe); A Celebrity Chef Ate My Hamster! (Bridewell and Chichester Fringe); Beyond the Sea (Bridewell); Born of Glass (NYMT, Lyric Belfast); and Three Sides (Bridewell, Shaw, Finborough, 45th Street Theatre - New York Musical Theatre Festival 2006). He has composed songs and several scores including: The Alchemist, Southwark Fair, The Man of Mode and England People Very Nice (National Theatre); Wallenstein (Minerva Theatre, Chichester); Bollywood Jane and Salonika (West Yorkshire Playhouse); London Assurance (Watermill and tour); and 101 Dalmatians (Royal and Derngate, Northampton). His work has been featured in the Not(es) From New York series at the Duchess Theatre, and he won the NYMF Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre Writing (Lyrics) for the off-Broadway production of Three Sides.
